Meet the Founders
Roger’s passion for building began in 1997, framing and constructing homes from the ground up. From the very beginning, his focus was simple—build it right, and stand behind it.
He later expanded his leadership experience by managing a furniture manufacturing plant for ten years, sharpening his skills in large-scale production, quality control, and team leadership.
In 2008, during a challenging housing market recession, Roger returned to what he loved most—building.
A Legacy of Affordable, Quality Construction
Together, Roger and Janell founded Affordable Buildings, starting with portable storage buildings and a simple but powerful mission:
Build quality structures at an affordable price. Deliver outstanding customer service. Treat every team member like family.
That commitment fueled steady growth and earned a strong reputation throughout the region.
In 2017, they sold Affordable Buildings to their longtime friend Aaron Burnett. Afterward, Roger and Janell spent several years ranching, traveling, and enjoying bass fishing—but they never lost their passion for manufacturing portable buildings.

Meeting Today’s Demand for Bigger Possibilities
As the market evolved, so did the vision.
Today’s demand allows for larger, more versatile buildings—up to 16×60—many of which customers are converting into tiny homes, cabins, workshops, and functional living spaces.
That evolution led to the creation of US Patriot Buildings.
